Superbly and sensitively backed by just two guitarists, John Pisano and Jim Fox, she presents each song like a precious jewel on velvet, giving depth and mature understanding to eleven little treasures. Lovely songs they are, running from familiar pieces like the title track and "How Long Has This Been Going On" through quiet gems like Alec Wilder's "Blackberry Winter," Bobby Troup's "Meaning of the Blues" and Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Until It's Time for You to Go" to a remarkably emotional version of "You Don't Know Me" (yes, the one by Eddy Arnold).
